As a Systems Engineer, Electrical Systems & Power Delivery at Moxion Power, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for our mobile battery energy storage solutions. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our systems, ensuring seamless integration with various applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of energy storage while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of experts.
Pay Equity
Moxion is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. Compensation displayed is a range. Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements. We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience. Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change.
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

As a Systems Engineer, Electrical Systems & Power Delivery at Moxion Power, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for our mobile battery energy storage solutions. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our systems, ensuring seamless integration with various applications. What you’ll do:
- Electrical Systems Design: Support the design and development of electrical systems, encompassing power distribution, electrical circuits, and component selection, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- System Development Support: Assist senior engineers in the design and development of Moxion’s mobile battery energy storage systems via a requirements-based product development process.
- Technical Documentation: Support the creation of technical documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Provide technical support and expertise to resolve any electrical-related issues that arise during product development, manufacturing, or in-service operation.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering, power delivery technologies, and industry best practices, incorporating new knowledge into future projects and designs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, design reports, and test results, to communicate engineering concepts and project progress effectively.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient development process, and provide regular updates on project status.
Skills to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience in system requirements generation and management for electrical systems, power delivery solutions, or related areas.
- Understanding of electrical engineering principles, power distribution, and electrical circuitry.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, energy conversion principles, and battery technologies.
- Solid understanding of AC and DC power systems, including system analysis, integration, and optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
