About this job:
Leads the implementation of the District’s Safe and Welcoming Environments Strategy to foster student well-being, belonging, and academic success. Develops and implements universal systems that support strong school culture and transformational learning environments, grounded in prevention, positive behavior intervention, restorative practices, trauma-informed approaches, and relationship-centered pedagogy. Provides guidance, resources, and evidence-based practices through professional learning, coaching, and consultation. Collaborates across departments to integrate culturally sustaining practices into instructional materials, professional learning, and capacity-building efforts for content specialists across the District.

• Manages and develops a team of specialists to deliver exceptional customer service and professional learning focused on Safe and Welcoming school environments, grounded in prevention science and evidence-based school culture improvement strategies (e.g., PBIS, restorative practices, trauma-informed care, and relationship-centered discipline). Fosters a strong team culture aligned with the district's values, driving excellence and service through coaching, feedback, goal-setting, and skill-building activities
• Designs and facilitates professional learning for school leadership and student support staff to promote inclusive learning environments and strong school cultures, utilizing restorative, trauma-informed, and relationship-centered strategies, alongside equitable discipline practices, classroom management, de-escalation, and emotional regulation techniques
• Progress monitors data, analyzes trends, and identifies opportunities to enhance impact, providing data-driven recommendations. Leads feedback loops with internal and external partners to ensure continuous improvement
• Manages innovative partnerships internally and externally, serving as a primary representative for stakeholder engagement regarding universal systems in the district’s Strategy for Safe and Welcoming Environments
• Collaborates in the leadership and strategic management of the department, including planning, goal-setting, progress monitoring, operations, budget, and program management to ensure department success
• Actively engages in research and professional learning to deepen expertise in prevention science, restorative and trauma-informed practices, SEL, PBIS, and Culturally Sustaining Teaching and Learning. Represents the department within the district and the broader community, managing project communications and updates
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED - Required
- Bachelor's Degree - Education, Counseling, Social Work or other related field - Preferred
- Master's Degree - Education, Counseling, Social Work or other related field - Preferred
- Three (3) years of Leading and Developing Culture systems experience in K-12 school environments - Required
- Two (2+) years of Leadership Coaching experience - Required
- Two (2+) years of Project Management, Change Management, and/or Strategic Planning experience - Required
- Two (2+) years classroom experience in K-12 school environments - Required
- Knowledge in Spanish proficiency (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) - Preferred
- Valid Colorado Driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage, and an acceptable driving record for the past three years - ( Will need to show proof) Required
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Strong organizational and analytic skills and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated working knowledge of project management methodology and implementation techniques
- Proactive self-start
