About the role

Lead Project Data Analytics Management Specialist

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing, Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a motivated, talented Lead Project Data Analytics Management Specialist to join the Precision Engagement Systems (PES) team located in Saint Charles, MO or Saint Louis, MO.

As a part of the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization, Precision Engagement Systems (PES) is a dynamic and growing team with leadership that is focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions on Direct Attack (DA) and Cruise Missiles Systems (CMS) programs. Connected to our customers’ missions, we deliver unique capabilities through our exceptional talent.  The programs we support in Saint Charles, MO include Direct Attack weapons (JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC and associated derivatives) and Cruise Missiles (SLAM ER, Harpoon and development weapons) utilized on various military aircraft, some ground-based platforms, and other future contract awards.

This is a 50/50 Program Management + Data Analytics role: lead workforce/resource planning and program facilitation while building analytics, automated ETL, and leadership dashboards to enable data-driven engineering decisions. Hands-on work with Power BI/Power Query, SQL, and scripting (Python/R) is required; facilitation of cross-functional governance and program execution is equally important.

This role serves as a key process facilitator and data analytics expert supporting engineering workforce staffing, resource planning, and other critical engineering functions within the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization.

While this position works closely with engineers and senior engineering leadership, it does not require an engineering degree or technical engineering experience. Instead, the successful candidate will excel at facilitating engineering processes, driving process improvements across the broader engineering organization, and delivering actionable insights through data analysis and automation to enable effective decision-making.

A strong passion for people’s development and engagement is essential. In this role, you will collaborate with functional engineering partners across disciplines, engineering leaders, and teams from Government Operations, Legal, Human Resources, and Finance teams to ensure staffing processes, development resources, manager tools, and engagement materials align with Boeing’s Engineering mission to deliver world-class engineering through exceptional talent.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and operationalize analytics, automated ETL pipelines, and dashboards to support workforce planning and engineering program decisions

  • Design, compute, and maintain KPIs, trend/variance analyses, forecasting, and risk models; translate findings into actionable staffing and program recommendations

  • Build and maintain data models in Power BI (Power Query), author DAX measures, write SQL queries, and use scripting (Python/R) to automate data workflows and validation

  • Create executive-ready reports, visualizations, and briefings; present insights and recommended actions to senior leadership

  • Facilitate recurring resource planning cycles, cross-functional governance, technical reviews, and large-scale events to align stakeholders and drive program outcomes

  • Drive process improvement and change management initiatives that implement analytics-driven decisions and reduce manual effort
