Caterpillar Switchgear, part of the Electric Power Division, currently has an opening for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer located in Alpharetta, Georgia. In this role, you will design, develop, and build, Low and Medium voltage switchgear for generator paralleling applications.

What You Will Do
Interpret customer specifications and drawings, and apply them while considering industry regulations and NEC, UL 508, UL 891,UL 1558, UL MV, CSA 22-2, and ANSI requirements
Create bill of materials in ERP system
Provide direction to purchasing and procurement
Provide direction to CAD designers to create wiring and assembly drawings
Support production during equipment manufacturing
Write and validate PLC code for generator control systems, interfacing with various communication protocols
