About Snorkel

At Snorkel, we believe meaningful AI doesn’t start with the model, it starts with the data.

We’re on a mission to help enterprises transform expert knowledge into specialized AI at scale. The AI landscape has gone through incredible changes between 2015, when Snorkel started as a research project in the Stanford AI Lab, to the generative AI breakthroughs of today. But one thing has remained constant: the data you use to build AI is the key to achieving differentiation, high performance, and production-ready systems. We work with some of the world’s largest organizations to empower scientists, engineers, financial experts, product creators, journalists, and more to build custom AI with their data faster than ever before. Excited to help us redefine how AI is built? Apply to be the newest Snorkeler!

We’re seeking a Senior Operations Manager for our Data-as-a-Service team, who will report into the Head of Supply. This person has 5+ years of experience in technical program management, growth, or product operations—preferably in fast-paced, operations-heavy environments like startups, marketplaces, or enterprise SaaS. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and workflow automation tools (Airtable, Zapier, or similar) and a proven track record of scaling operational infrastructure or growth initiatives, especially in ambiguous 0→1 environments. They can connect strategy, execution, and tooling to build systems, SOPs, and data-driven workflows that accelerate outcomes, improve efficiency, and enhance visibility. Bonus experience includes human data labeling/annotation, LLM/AI pipelines, or prior work at AI-first startups, paired with strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop systems, workflows, and SOPs that enable Operations Managers and Associates to execute with autonomy, speed, and precision.
  • Lead development of scalable infrastructure using Airtable, SQL, and lightweight scripting (Python) to automate and optimize data handling and decision-making workflows.
  • Drive Growth-Driven Projects:Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, and GTM to support mission-critical growth projects, customer pipelines, and delivery mechanisms. Help align operational infrastructure to evolving strategic goals.
  • Connect and Integrate Systems:,Act as the connective tissue between tools and teams—integrating disparate systems to streamline workflows and reduce friction, manual effort, and silos.
  • Enhance Visibility Through Data: Build and maintain dashboards, reporting pipelines, and queries that enhance insight into operations, resource utilization, and project performance. Provide actionable insights to inform executive and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Lead Program Planning & Execution: Oversee capacity planning, tooling allocation, and resource enablement across multiple programs. Partner with Ops and People teams to ensure execution readiness.
  • Champion Process and Scalability: Continually assess and refine workflows and SOPs to support scaling needs. Introduce best practices that improve repeatability, quality, and impact across delivery projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, growth, product operations, or a technical role (e.g., SWE or data analytics).
Preferably in fast-paced, operations-heavy environments such as startups, marketplaces, or enterprise SaaS.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience using SQL, Python scripting, and workflow automation tools (Airtable, Zapier or similar). Comfortable designing queries, pipelines, and system integrations.
  • Demonstrated success scaling operational infrastructure or growth projects, especially in ambiguous, 0→1 environments.
  • Proven ability to connect the dots between strategy, execution, and tooling—creating systems that unlock efficiency and accelerate outcomes.
  • Experience building and refining SOPs, capacity/resource plans, and data-driven workflows for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bonus: Experience with human data labeling/annotation workflows, LLM/AI development pipelines, or prior work at AI-first startups.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to synthesize complex information and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
