Compensation
Pay: $15.05/hr + participation in the F&B tip pool
This role participates in the shared F&B tip pool. Over the past two concert seasons, average tips have been approximately $18.60 per hour, though actual tips vary by show.

About Us

The Food & Beverage program at Hayden Homes Amphitheater is recognized as one of the top live event F&B operations in the country. The Bander/Host team supports high-volume bar service by assisting thousands of guests each show. Hosts ensure guests are properly ID’d and wristbanded before reaching the bar, helping maintain speed, flow, hospitality, and responsible alcohol service.

Job Overview

As a Food & Beverage Host, you’ll be stationed in assigned zones throughout the venue and move through bar and vendor lines to verify IDs and apply 21+ wristbands. Hosts act as informed guides, offering quick, conversational recommendations. They help direct guests to bar locations, recommend F&B offerings, and help guests feel oriented and excited for the night.  

This role combines hospitality and efficiency by reducing bottlenecks at bars while creating a welcoming guest experience. Hosts are expected to be confident and approachable, communicate clearly, and maintain positive energy in a fast-paced environment. Sound judgment is required when assessing intoxication, including the ability to refuse wristbands when necessary, along with a strong commitment to responsible alcohol service and OLCC compliance.

Responsibilities
• Welcome guests warmly while verifying IDs and applying 21+ wristbands prior to bar service
• Confidently, respectfully, and empathetically refuse wristbands to intoxicated guests, escalating concerns to leads or security when needed
• ID and wristband through assigned zones and bar lines to support smooth, efficient guest flow and reduce wait times
• Engage guests with friendly, welcoming service while keeping interactions positive and efficient
• Answer questions and proactively suggest food and beverage offerings and venue features to support an informed, welcoming guest experience
• Communicate with bar staff, leads, or supervisors regarding guest issues or concerns
• Follow OLCC regulations and all Hayden Homes Amphitheater alcohol service protocols at all times

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• OLCC certification required
• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Confidence making decisions related to intoxication and wristbanding
• Ability to stay calm, friendly, and professional in high-volume environments
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently in crowded areas
• Willingness to learn venue layout, bar locations, and food and beverage offerings

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to move quickly through crowded spaces
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work in environments with moderate to loud noise levels

Schedule

• Show days
• Shifts are typically shorter than other F&B roles and may begin earlier on high-volume shows
• Hours are based on crowd size and operational needs

It is essential that all employees at Hayden Homes Amphitheater understand and agree to the environment in which we work. We are an outdoor, seasonal concert venue, and our team regularly works in a wide range of conditions including extreme heat and cold, rain, smoke, snow, wind, full sun, nighttime darkness, and the presence of wildlife such as insects and other animals. These elements are a normal part of our workplace.

We provide a uniform, but employees are responsible for dressing appropriately for comfort and safety in all conditions. While our workplace happens to host concerts, this role is a job first, and employees are expected to remain focused on their responsibilities and may have little opportunity to experience performances. If you strongly prefer indoor work environments or are primarily seeking access to shows, this role is not the right fit.

Employment with Hayden Homes Amphitheater is seasonal and concludes at the end of each concert season. Due to the dynamic nature of the live events industry, roles, schedules, pay, responsibilities, and supervisors may change from season to season and are not guaranteed upon venue reopening.
