Position Title: Mid-Level IT Project Manager

Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

Description of Duties:

The Mid-Level IT Project Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

·       Be responsible for planning, executing, and closing IT projects within defined scope, budget, and timeline.

o   This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage project teams and stakeholders.

·       Will ensure that projects are aligned with business objectives and delivered to meet or exceed expectations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Project Planning and Initiation:

·       Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

·       Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.

·       Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project challenges.

·       Establish project governance and communication protocols.

·       Create and maintain project documentation, including project charters, scope statements, and work breakdown structures (WBS).

 

Project Execution and Monitoring:

·       Lead and manage geographically- dispersed project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and performance feedback.

·       Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear communication and action items.

·       Monitor project progress and performance against plan, identifying and addressing deviations.

·       Track project budget and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.

·       Manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

·       Utilize project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to effectively manage projects.

 

Stakeholder Management:

·       Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders on a regular basis.
