Job Description
We are seeking a Data Analytics Intern for Technology Management in our Technology organization. As an intern, you will take on meaningful work, engage in out-of-the-box problem solving, and participate in global case challenges and impactful initiatives. You will get the chance to work with multiple teams, systems, and products through a wide variety of data sources. From technology to business, we are looking for people who can innovate, collaborate, and bring Visa into the next level of a rapidly evolving digital marketplace.
During the internship, you will work on one or more hands-on projects with the team. Our summer internship also equips you with social and professional networking events and developmental workshops, designed to provide you the resources and training to have an impactful summer.

• Cloud cost estimator
• T-shirt sizing cost models for on-prem infrastructure Bill of Materials
Job duties and responsibilities may include:
• Identify appropriate data sources to track deployment of assets across Visa and use the information across multiple sources to create an infrastructure baseline.
• Understand new business requirements, assist in creating cost estimations of Bill of Materials (BOMs) for Datacenter and Cloud based deployments.
• Understand different technologies like Server, storage, network etc. to normalize metrics and compare different deployment scenarios.
• Have knowledge of Cloud services and billing mechanisms to estimate cloud costs and understand and replicate complex calculations to emulate billing and create cost estimations.
• Understand and calculate different cost estimates with multiple scenarios for same project and perform normalized comparisons to present data.
• Understand baseline data and perform data manipulation, data comparison from multiple sources, scenario-based analyses.
• Run SQL scripts to extract data from multiple data sources and have ability to normalize data based on product owner feedback.
• Ability to create dashboards, automated scripts, SQL scripts to collect data and perform calculations to create models based on project requirements.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Business, or a related field, graduating December 2023 or later
• Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in dealing with large data sets and analysis. Pulling data from disparate data sources, normalizing, and analyzing cost and other metrics
• Experience with Advanced Excel, SQL queries, and data visualization tools
• Familiarity with IT environment and understanding of different technology infrastructure products including public cloud and data center on-premise
• Strong ability to collaborate
• Highly driven, resourceful and results oriented
• Good team player and excellent interpersonal skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity
