As a Program Manager III, you will oversee the operations and ongoing management of the Community Teaching Kitchen at the Langston Hughes Community Health and Education Center while developing systems and processes that ensure efficient daily operations. In this role, you will manage the kitchen schedule, coordinate shared medical appointment activities, maintain safety standards, order and monitor supplies, and serve as the primary liaison with leadership teams utilizing the space. You will collaborate with internal departments and community partners, provide coaching and mentorship to staff, and participate in budget planning and management to support program goals and ensure the successful operation of the teaching kitchen.
A caregiver in this role works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. with one Saturday shift per month and two evening shifts per month as needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Develop, implement, manage, and maintain operational systems and activities.
Serve as a liaison with all levels of the organization and outside the community.
Manage multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines.
Allocate time to meet completion requirements.
Serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Review and monitor adherence to Human Resources policies and corporate compliance procedures.
Teach Kitchen facility management and coordination of programs, staffing, scheduling and resources.
Collaborate with clinicians, educators, patients, community members and other stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation and execution.
Maintain food safety and sterilization standards.
Adherence to healthcare safety and infection-prevention standards.
Oversee facility inspections and food service regulatory compliance.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field and five years of related experience
OR Master’s Degree and four years of experience
Knowledge of statistical and financial analysis, primary research and business plan development
Strong presentation, communication and training skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Master’s degree
Healthcare settings
Experience in dietetics, culinary arts, nutrition services, or hospitality services
Background in food service management, dietary services, and/or nutrition programs
Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
