Quality Assurance Intern - Riverside Foods

As a Quality Assurance/Food Safety intern, you will gain knowledge and understanding of the business through hands on activities, coaching, and projects at the Riverside Foods location in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.  The Quality Assurance/Food Safety intern will work primarily on the production floor and in the QA Lab.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Performs assigned technical tasks/duties associated with department processes and procedures.
• Interfaces/provides technical support to appropriate functions and employees to assure regulatory compliance, food safety and quality of company products.
• Position will gain an understanding of both FDA and USDA regulations. Conduct audits to ensure standards around programs such as allergen management, foreign material control, GMPs, etc are being adhered to.
• Other project work as assigned

• Student in 4-year degree program with emphasis in food science, biology or other relevant field of study
• Strong interest in science

• Critical thinking skills
• Proficient in M.S. Office
