Power Trader (Intraday)

As this business continues to grow, there will be increasing opportunities to take on broader responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to its success.</p> <h2>Core Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Monitor multiple European power markets (CWE, Eastern Europe, UK & Nordics) and the relevant supply and demand factors</li> <li>Be an active part of the trading team and participate in shift rotation (evenings and weekends) to catch market opportunities</li> <li>Execute trades based on quantitative signals and/or discretionary insights </li> <li>Contribute to a shared proprietary trading book</li> <li>Ensure nominations and scheduling are carried out correctly</li> <li>Develop into a domain expert within the relevant markets and products </li> <li>Drive innovation in trading strategies </li> <li>Support training of new joiners on the desk</li> </ul> <h2>Skills and Experience</h2> <ul> <li>Strong academic background, preferably in a quantitative field</li> <li>2+ years of professional experience in trading intraday power in Europe, preferably at a proprietary trading desk</li> <li>Proven track record of P&L ownership </li> <li>Entrepreneurial mindset with a healthy risk appetite, competitive nature, and fast decision-making capabilities</li> <li>Strong analytical and modelling skills, preferably in Python</li> <li>Fluency in English</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>About Us</strong></p> <p>IMC is a global trading firm powered by a cutting-edge research environment and a world-class technology backbone.
