The Role:
Serves as lead for the development of the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform (EDP), associated reporting, analytics, and advanced business insight use cases. Guides the IT&S and system integrator (SI) teams to optimize the development of business use cases and reports. Assists in expanding the Business Data & Analytics Governance initiative. Provides decision support for internal clients including senior management. Provides advanced analysis to help the organization solve data and reporting problems and make better decisions. Manages backlog of business use cases and works with senior management, the IT&S delivery team, and the SI to prioritize upcoming work.
Day to Day:
- Serves as the Company-wide focal point for prioritization and definition of business use cases and reports. Guides the teams to evaluate operational processes; identifies, creates, and analyzes key operational metrics; supports operational performance improvements with process mapping, documentation, and recommendations.
- Provides functional and technical SME knowledge, collaborates with IT&S and SI leads and the business for intake, prioritization, and delivery of use cases and reports.
- Participates in financial and technical analyses of business activities related to the EDP platform and Power BI environments, including the development of capital and operating budgets.
- Drives key decisions and commitments from stakeholders across the business.
- Coordinates communication between the IT&S report development team, the SI, and the Business.
- Develops presentations and reports and presents to various managerial levels and executive staff.
- Plays a key role in the definition, prioritization, and implementation planning of strategic information and reporting systems.
- Proactively identifies problems and risks, actively seeks resolution of problems, escalates as needed.
- Establishes and maintains productive business partnerships across the organization.
- Supports the Company’s commitment to a culture of safe work practices.
Come on your first day with:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, computer science, data analytics, economics, or a related business field.
- Minimum of five years of financial, operational analysis and reporting development experience.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with understanding of financial analysis and budgeting.
- Advanced PC skills in MS Excel and Power BI; with competency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and analytical tools.
- Experience with SAP or other integrated financial systems preferred.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL programming, Power BI or Tableau, Azure, and statistical modeling software such as SAS or SPSS is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the preparation of documents and presentations for varied audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exhibiting sound business judgment.
- Capable of meeting tight schedules and demanding targets while delivering high quality output; effectively managing competing priorities and reconciling divergent expectations.
- Proven ability to provide leadership and direction without the benefit of formal authority.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain a high degree of credibility and trust across the organization.
- Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to complex issues, resourceful in adapting existing knowledge and experience to tackle new projects.
- Willing to constructively challenge the status quo and "push back" to improve results.
