The Agency for Health Care Administration is Florida’s chief health policy and planning entity. The Office Plans and Construction is responsible for ensuring that hospitals, nursing homes, ambulatory surgical centers, and intermediate care facilities for the developmentally disabled (ICF/DD) are designed and built to be safe, functional, and in compliance with the Applicable Rules, Codes, and Standards regulating the physical plant of these facilities.

 

Position Overview:

 

This position is responsible for mechanical reviews within the Bureau of Plans and Construction, Division of Health Care Policy and Oversight.

 

This is a highly technical mechanical engineering position. Individually, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, this position performs mechanical engineering, fire safety plan reviews, and field surveys related to the design, construction, and fire safety of Hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Intermediate Care Facilities for the developmentally disabled, and such other facilities, as directed by the Agency to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards for state licensure, federal certification and as required as part of the Certificate of Need (CON) application process. The individual in this position is expected to demonstrate, model, and reinforce the Agency's fundamental values of fairness, cooperation, respect, commitment, excellence, honesty, and teamwork.

This position has a Competitive Area Differential (CAD) and will be hired at a rate of $2,166.57 + $162.40 = $ 2,328.97 - $2,941.04 + $ 162.40 = $ 3,103.44 biweekly/non-negotiable.
