We are excited to meet you and for you to join us in shaping the future of the logistics industry in Europe.</p> <p><strong>About the role<br/><br/><br/></strong>As a<strong> </strong><strong>Senior Backend Engineer</strong><strong> </strong>you’ll be collaborating closely with the Product Manager and other team members to provide robust backend solutions that drive the further development of our product for carriers.</p> <p>The <strong>Order </strong><strong>Fulfilment</strong> team is a stream-aligned team which focuses on enhancing carrier experience by improving load and payment visibility. Currently, the team is migrating from an old monolithic system to a microservice architecture. The next potential product topic is implementing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for efficient review of proof-of-delivery documents..</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>In this role you will ...</strong></p> <ul> <li>participate in building new backend solutions in the defined scope</li> <li>enhance test automation practices to ensure the high quality of our products</li> <li>work with talented engineers within a mature, agile and friendly team</li> <li>collaborate with other teams in cross-team projects</li> <li>actively participate in the backend developer community, learn and share best practices in engineering and collaboration.</li> </ul> <p> <br/><strong>Preferably you have</strong></p> <ul> <li>minimum of 6 years of relevant experience</li> <li>proficiency in <strong>Node.js</strong> and <strong>TypeScript</strong></li> <li>experience with <strong>Python</strong></li> <li>deep knowledge of any additional programming language is a plus</li> <li>strong understanding of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)</li> <li>familiarity with pub/sub systems (i.e. Kafka)</li> <li>practical skills with AWS, Docker, and modern CI/CD</li> <li>passion for diving deep into your area of responsibility, understanding the broader context, and taking ownership</li> <li>good communication skills in English.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>About sennder</strong> </p> <p>sennder is moving trucks with the power of data to unlock endless and sustainable capacity at unparalleled quality.
