This entity is dedicated to the complete services of the equipment which can go up to the reconditioning ofthe emergency engines for nuclear power plants in the world and of the engine of the Leclerc tank for the French army.<br/>  </p> <p>The preferred location for the position is at Surgères (Charente Maritime), in France. From Surgères, you will be deployed withyour team mainly in Western Europe (France, Spain, Belgium, Sweden…). Wärtsilä will be covering the travel and accommodation expenses to/from home location to Surgères plant or Customer site.</p> <p> </p> <p>What will you be doing</p> <p><br/> The position is dedicated to the Special Applications (SA) perimeter of Wärtsilä. This entity is dedicated to the complete servicesof the equipment which can go up to the reconditioning of the emergency engines for certain nuclear power plants in the worldand that of the engine of the Leclerc tank for the French army. </p> <p><br/> As Special Applications Field Services Technician, your work will focus on these responsibilities: </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>perform the preventive maintenance and repair operations on Wärtsilä emergency diesel engines installed in nuclearpower plants, under the supervision of an engineer,</li> <li>participate in the identification of breakdowns,</li> <li>participate to the engines running test under the supervision of an engineer,</li> <li>fill in the quality documentation,</li> <li>participate to the promotion of Wärtsilä brand. </li> <li>The missions are carried out while respecting the applicable rules as regards Quality, Safety and Environment, in accordancewith the commitment of Wärtsilä. <br/>  </li> </ul> <p>To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Bac +2/ Degrees + 2 years,</li> <li>Bac, Bac pro/ High school diploma degree,</li> <li>CAP, BEP/ Vocational certificate obtained 2 years after the 8th &amp; 9th grade,</li> <li>Gained experience in diesel engines (ideally on Wärtsilä products) and in field services (between 3 and 5 years),</li> <li>English skills (A1-A2). </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>And ideally: </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>3 to 5 years in the technical industrial sector.</li> <li>Knowledge of engine mechanics (knowledge of Wärtsilä engines would be a plus).</li> <li>Basic knowledge on nuclear power plant environment.</li> <li>Spanish skills (A1-A2)</li> <li>Office software skills</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>To be successful in this role, we expect you to be: <br/>  </p> <ul> <li>rigorous, accurate and attentive to Safety and Quality topics,</li> <li>flexible, resilient and autonomous,</li> <li>attentive to the customer satisfaction,</li> <li>mobile (several weeks mission duration),</li> <li>active in the improvement process. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>You have team spirit and good interpersonal skills. </p> <p><br/> In this role, travel is required to work at our national and international customers sites.
