Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center is looking to add two Veterinary Assistants to our Neurology Department!
The Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center is a specialty practice comprised of board certified and residency trained doctors, licensed veterinary technicians, and support teams who are highly trained in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Neurology, Physical Rehabilitation, and Emergency and Critical Care.

About the job: The primary role of the Veterinary Assistant is to provide excellent care to the patients of Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center, as well as assist the veterinarian other medical staff, and upkeep of facility and equipment.
How you'll make a difference:
Schedule: Full-time position. Four 10 hour shifts, department open Monday through Friday. Two shifts available: Monday through Thursday, or Tuesday through Friday
Salary: Salary starts at $18.00/hour

How you'll make a difference:
- Perform all essential duties of a Veterinary Assistant
- Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity
- Provide support to all veterinarians and veterinary technicians, often assisting more than one on your shift
- Accurately take and process abdominal, thoracic, appendicular, spinal, and skull radiographs while following appropriate radiation safety protocols
- Properly use and maintain medical equipment
- Provide professional client communication
- Helps keep hospital areas clean and neat, maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Maintains client and patient confidentiality
- Meet or exceed performance standards for work quality and productivity
- Experience working as a Veterinary Assistant in a hospital setting is preferred
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community we serve
- Reliable, organized, and committed to provide high level care to our patients and clients
- A craving for lifelong learning and continuous improvements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
