General Laborer - Extrusion

Starting Rate of pay:

$18/hr 

2nd Shift and 3rd Shift - $1.50/hour extra

Shifts Available and Hours:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd

Job Responsibilities:

• Learns how to identify mechanical problems with the finish saw and develops working relationship with maintenance resources 
• Understands where to find the product cut length as denoted for the process and what an acceptable frequency of verification is i.e  - Shift change, stoppages, new dies/orders, first cut and last cut 
• Understands where to find cut tolerance for each customer/order to assure cut length adherence 
• Learns proper saw blade coolant, oil levels, and correct fluids to cut product effectively 
• Helps empty saw chip collector at the end of each shift or as needed; contacts fork-lift driver when chips dumpsters are full 
• Protects and handles material with care to prevent scratches, dents, and any damage that can occur in transition 
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment specific to their position efficiently/safely 

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent 

• Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English 

• Must have basic math skills, use a calculator and read a tape measure
