A Day in the Life

         

         

In this role, you will support daily inventory and materials operations to ensure accurate tracking, secure storage, and timely availability of materials used in manufacturing and maintenance activities. This role works cross‑functionally with production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to maintain inventory accuracy and support operational efficiency.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain control and accuracy of multiple inventory types, including raw materials, tooling subassemblies, and finished goods.
• Ensure inventory is secure, properly labeled, and accessible to authorized personnel.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records.
• Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
• Verify quantities and documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Receive packages and ensure proper storage or distribution of materials.
• Support inventory put-away processes to maintain organized and efficient storage locations.
• Inspect tooling to ensure it meets operational standards and readiness requirements.
• Assemble tooling kits to support shop orders and manufacturing activities.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to analyze inventory levels and ensure tooling and materials availability.
• Obtain tooling quotes from vendors as needed to support operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or regulated environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP tools.
• Experience performing cycle counts, tooling inspection, or materials coordination.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Basic experience working with inventory, warehouse, manufacturing, or materials management processes.
• Ability to perform basic inventory tracking and documentation tasks with attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
