Role Overview
The responsibilities of the Associate Director of Program Management, Enterprise Applications will range from oversight of end-to-end program execution from intake to business case development to initiative kickoff and planning, to coordinating readiness to launch and tracking of benefits realized against the business case. The ideal candidate must bring strong experience and proven competency in program and project execution using waterfall/agile operating models, processes, frameworks, and resource management strategies with a balance of operational excellence, exceptional collaboration, problem solving and influencing skills. Projects tend to be highly visible, integrated with multiple existing systems, and require a high level of technical expertise coupled with business acumen.
Specific Responsibilities
- Design, develop, communicate, and manage a detailed program execution plan that include on-time delivery, release management, testing, progress milestones, and monitoring success metrics.
- Shape program delivery scope with key business partners to establish priorities and advise management of alternatives. Serve as a liaison to business partners in defining new project requests.
- Proactively monitor, measure and report on program and project status to executive leadership.
- Lead team to resolve all program/project issues and impediments in a timely manner, effectively communicates, manage expectations, and resolves conflicts while working closely with the team and leadership.
- Maintain relationships with key business partners and other senior leaders to leverage best practices, evaluate emerging strategies, and distribute knowledge internally to develop, inform plans and strategies.
- Perform assessment of existing ERP and CRM solutions, recognizing opportunity for optimization. Provide associated recommendations, roadmap, and estimated effort.
- Continuous Improvement: Find opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization processes. Collaborate to implement standard methodologies, drive efficiency gains, and enhance performance.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and external partners to procure and implement technology solutions. Lead vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing support.
- Assist in Change Management, Training and UAT to support successful completion of projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years cross-functional, enterprise-wide program management experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of direct supervisory management experience.
- Proven experience leading teams in effective management of various aspects of projects, including managing scope, budget, schedule, permitting and reporting.
- Profound understanding of enterprise applications (CRM, ERP) and their integration within a business context.
- Experience with working with business owners and understanding of business processes (Supply Chain, Inventory, Sales, and Accounting).
- Ability to handle ambiguity effectively and manage multiple projects at once in parallel.
- Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills to drive projects across multiple programs, manage stakeholder
