As an Oncology Customer Team Leader, you will manage and lead a team of Oncology Sales Representatives/Specialists that partner with customers to uncover and address their needs, educate key stakeholders about our oncology products, and communicate our vision to the broader oncology community.

  • This is a field-based, sales management role that will be responsible for a team of Oncology Sales Representatives/Specialists for the South Texas District.

  • The South Texas district covers Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas.

  • Candidates must be willing to travel to visit with their direct reports and customers in the district, as well as for national sales meetings.

  • Travel (%) varies based on candidate’s location within or near the district and may require 50 - 75% overnight travel.

Key responsibilities include and may not be limited to:

  • Hire, lead, and manage Oncology Sales professionals for an assigned district within the United States.

  • Coach direct reports, oversee training, and complete people management processes for Oncology Sales professionals.

  • Develop and resource their customer team to address customer needs.

  • Maximize sales team's performance and help achieve/exceed sales and budget target, as well as increasing access to our Oncology products.

  • Collaborate with Oncology Sales organization, including Customer Team Leaders, Commercial Operations Directors, Account Managers, and alliance partnerships.

  • Develop business plans for their geography and implement national sales strategies and programs.

  • Communicate and coordinate with both district and cross-functional teams and share best practices with direct reports and peers.

  • Lead district sales meetings to inform and guide sales team.

  • Conduct annual and on-going performance reviews and competency assessments for direct reports.

  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy in partnership with Human Resources.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of sales experience OR a minimum of high school diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience, with at least 4 years of working in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.

  • Equivalent experience can be professional sales experience, work experience in the healthcare/scientific field (including pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical devices) that is not sales related, professional marketing experience, or military experience.

  • Ability to establish relationships and networks within a customer organization.

  • Valid driver’s license and able to drive a vehicle.

  • Travel the amount of time the role requires, 50 – 75%.

  • Reside within the district or near a major airport to travel to the district.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First-line people management experience leading a field-based oncology sales team.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with key thought leaders or high influence Oncology customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.
