In this role, you will:
The mission of the Qualified Utilities Team is to provide the site a constant flow of reliable, cost efficient, compliant Qualified Utilities. (Clean Steam, Api-Lew, PW, WFI, RO, Pharm-Air, Pharm-N2, House-N2, Process Vac, Process Waste/Neuts, LCO2, San-Sew, Storm-Sew, Pot-H2O, Ind-H2O)
This Qualified Utilities Coordinator role is to provide leadership, training, and technical expertise, in addition to performing craftsmen duties. It additionally provides leadership within the site maintenance and engineering teams as a technical subject matter expert for the specific craft group. Coordinators are experts in the facilitation of maintenance and utility work management processes in a safe manner. They leverage individual talents to promote colleague development of Apprentice and Journeyman crafts and serve as key resource within the area of expertise. They will also lead sub teams at various levels.
The Qualified Utilities Coordinator must be a skilled craftsman in their trade, and preferably possess a Journeyman card with the State of Michigan.
The Coordinator needs to have a weekly handle on the team’s work schedule, using the site’s CMS system and provide information to schedulers for the upcoming work schedule, per current work practices.
The Coordinator is responsible for reporting the team’s work order back log as well as the compliance, especially GMP, EHS, CORR, PM type W/O’s.
The Coordinator is responsible for the department’s SOP compliance. This involves writing new, updates and periodic reviews. This requires close interactions with the sites Quality Organization.
The Coordinator reports training compliance and is also responsible for team members curricula, so that we comply with company standards and procedures and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, USP, DEQ, ISO, EGLE, OSHA, MIOSHAS, etc.).
The Coordinator can serve as a maintenance advisor in areas of engineering (process design, material selection, documentation, calibration, testing and problem solving methodology, project scope and follow up).
The Coordinator will be expected to develop solutions to routine problems following established Pfizer policies and procedures. Communication in developing and implementing solutions is critical.
Discretion, Latitude, Level of Independence: Works with minimal Supervision.
The Coordinator is responsible for the departments change control compliance, validation, drawings, SOP’s, UG’s etc.
The Coordinator is responsible for supporting failure investigations, including tracking and closing of assigned CAPA’s.
The Coordinator is responsible for providing Q-U team support for planning and execution of shutdowns across the site.
The Coordinator is together with maintenance engineer responsible for reviewing/updating the maintenance program, including spare parts availability, for the department’s equipment.
The Coordinator is responsible for the Data Integrity and quality of primary & secondary data that is produced by Q-Utilities.
The Coordinator is expected to function as a technical interface between Engineering, Process control and the Micro labs.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include: The Coordinator may work variable shifts and 24 hour on call as required. Participates in multi-craft work activities as required.
Time Span of Work: Daily tasks and deliverables. Results can usually be measured on daily or weekly basis.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
High School Diploma or GED
Certified Water Operator and/or Journeyman cardholder in a related trade plus minimum of 6 years related experience such as: Water Treatment, sampling, testing, distribution and filtration systems. Storm & sanitary sewers, EGLE, DEQ , EPA, Management of Chlorine, Bleach, Ammonia & Salt.
Self-starter with ability to work independently.
