About the role

JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Manager, Security Operations supports the overall leadership and administration of Security Operations for Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU). This role acts as a key extension of the Security Manager by overseeing daily operations, supporting team leadership, and ensuring alignment across all shifts. The Assistant Manager, Security Operations helps ensure the effective delivery of security services while maintaining compliance with company standards and applicable state regulations. This position also serves as a critical link between frontline leadership and senior management, fostering a safe, secure, and guest-focused environment while partnering with internal leaders, third-party vendors, and law enforcement to support incident response, emergency preparedness, and long-term security planning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees daily Security operations across all shifts, ensuring effective deployment of personnel, post coverage, and adherence to operational standards. Supports frontline leaders in driving performance, readiness, and accountability.
  • Reviews incident reports, supports investigations, and assists with case preparation and documentation. Conducts audits and reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistent policy enforcement, and compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and state regulations.
  • Provides on-site Security leadership during incidents and emergencies by supporting escalation, decision-making, and coordination with leadership, business partners, third-party vendors, and law enforcement. Ensures timely, professional, and compliant handling of security events.
  • Supports the execution and continuous improvement of emergency management plans. Assists in communication, training, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assists in hiring, onboarding, training validation, and ongoing development of Security Team Members. Provides coaching and performance feedback to supervisory staff while reinforcing UDX service and safety standards.
  • Assists in managing third-party security vendors and external security partners to help ensure alignment with contractual, operational, and regulatory expectations.
  • Supports the administration of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and ID badging. Partners with Digital & Technology to ensure proper controls, audits, and functionality are maintained.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Supervises a Non-Exempt team

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Vendor management experience is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills.
  • Ability to analyze situations, make sound decisions, and lead under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of security operations, emergency response, and regulatory compliance.
  • Vendor management and partnership experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in all situations.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Required to successfully attend and pass all recurring mandatory/legal licenses and certifications as a condition of employment.
  • Must obtain and maintain all required security licenses and certifications (e.g., PILB, Guard Card, or local equivalents).
  • LVMPD Non-Gaming Work Card.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in security, law enforcement, or investigations.
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience r
