Your Career

As the dynamic Senior Buyer, you hold the key to an exhilarating procurement journey! Your expertise revolves around the thrilling lifecycle of Purchase Orders, Vendors, and Contracts data. You'll embark on a quest to procure top-notch goods and services, while ensuring vendors are welcomed aboard and their records perfectly maintained. But that's not all – you're the hero who generates captivating reports and communicates exciting changes to the business teams! With your exceptional logical decision-making skills, you'll strategize procurement like a true mastermind, representing the Source to Pay team in high-stakes meetings that shape the organization's future.

Your Impact

  • Prepare and issue detailed, accurate purchase orders in compliance with company standards and policy 
  • Effectively communicate orders to vendors and applicable internal personnel 
  • Maintain and report on PO activities 
  • Act as liaison for the business unit and finance partners to meet all necessary requirements/needs (Month end accruals, etc.) 
  • Review new vendor Requests, screen and set up Procurement Vendor Records 
  • Manage purchasing transactions from inception to closure 
  • Analyze POs to resolve tax, accounting, and/or shipping discrepancies 
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors to establish purchasing requirements 
  • Work with staff and other departments as a team player to achieve desired goals 
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for the department 
  • Be a team ambassador, assisting with training and communicating the group’s value proposition to others
  • Reporting on non-compliant activities 
  • Participates in Sprint process, recommending and testing changes as required

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • BA/BS degree in business, supply chain management or another related field desired or equivalent military experience required - Related experience and Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical ability & assertiveness 
  • Strong Customer Service skills 
  • Knowledgeable of the Procure to Pay life cycle, including sourcing strategy, purchasing, and corporate credit card programs 
  • Confidence in dealing with other departments and outside representatives 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
  • SAP experience for Purchasing and Accounts Payable modules desired 
  • Ariba SLP/Buying and Invoicing/
