Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant to join our North America Climate Risk & Resilience team, which sits within the Climate & Nature capability area. In this role, you will be responsible for leading client engagements to advise and implement innovative solutions so that clients can anticipate, address and efficiently disclose their relevant climate change risks and opportunities. You will join a dedicated team that serves clients spanning retail, agriculture, finance, transport & logistics, and more, all of whom require support to engage key stakeholders on the topic of climate change whilst enhancing their business and value chain resilience to climate risk and leveraging opportunities arising from the transition to a low carbon economy. We aim to support clients to facilitate future business growth and implement positive sustainable practices under changing climate conditions and a moving regulatory landscape.Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and/or supporting projects, predominantly focused on Climate Risk & Resilience services but occasionally also in collaboration with other areas of Climate & Nature and the wider Anthesis Group.
- Leading and/or supporting the development of proposals on climate risk and opportunity, adaptation strategies and climate-related reporting, and contribute to the implementation of these projects.
- Applying our existing approaches to climate scenario analysis for both physical and transition risks and opportunities, as well as contributing innovative ideas to improve our product and service offerings.
- Drafting client reports and presentations that convey key messages, inform strategic decision-making and deliver impact-led conclusions.
- Contributing to the development of Anthesis’ thought leadership and marketing materials in relation to climate change and associated reporting.
- Supporting the development of new clients and opportunities and helping to enhance existing client relationships and assist client account management.
- As a Principal Consultant, leading, mentoring and inspiring junior colleagues to develop their careers and technically review their work. As a Senior Consultant, collaborating across the Climate & Nature team and wider Anthesis, sharing your knowledge and skills and help reviewing deliverables and work.

Key Requirements & Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree/relevant qualification in a related field (sustainability/climate, finance, enterprise risk management, etc.). Master’s degree in related field preferred.
- Experience in a related position (climate risk/sustainability/ESG practitioner in a consultancy environment, and/or related financial services, enterprise risk management roles or other relevant related roles): at least 4-5 years for Senior Consultant, 6+ years for Principal Consultant.
- A passion for sustainability and an interest in being at the forefront of sustainability and sustainable finance.
- An understanding of global climate science and international decarbonisation scenarios.
- Experience in delivering transition and physical climate risk assessments for clients.
- Curious, open minded and enthusiastic with clear ability to collaborate and work well with a wide range of people on a global basis.
- Experience in managing complex projects on budget, scope and time.
- Organised, methodical and analytical, including effective time management skills. Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to the dynamic, fast-moving consultancy environment.
