Job Details:

General Notes

This position will end effective one year from start date. Subsequent annual renewal of employment will be based upon performance review, progress towards research goals, and continuation of funding.

Purpose

Carry out research into biochemistry, synthetic biology, and protein and RNA engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with organizing lab, including routine forms and approvals, ordering, and carrying out research into enzyme engineering.

  • Carry out research into modular, high-throughput assay development, and genetic circuit construction.

  • Compile, analyze and summarize data as needed for reports and for publication and dissemination.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline.  Previous experience with cloning, mutagenesis, and protein expression.

Salary Range

$35,568 + depending on qualifications
