Financial Modeling Director | Hybrid

Lead modeling and technology expert advising the executive team and/or business unit senior management on complex issues affecting the actuarial department.  Leads major model and technology development, with a focus on driving a best-in-class modeling and technology platform, in conjunction with Technology partners in the enterprise. You will report to the Senior Director of Modeling & Systems.

 

What you do:

• Leads projects that have major impacts on the enterprise

• Leads development and design of financial systems, analytical and/or valuation methodologies

• Provide analysis and recommendations regarding financial implications of new products, regulations and accounting practices

• Manages, trains and directs work of other managing actuaries and actuarial technology managers, providing employee and career development

 

What you bring:

Mininum:

• 8-10 years’ of experience required

• Four-year degree required in Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field

Preferred:

• 11+ years’ experience in life insurance or related financial services industry

• Advanced degree or education: MBA, CPA, ASA/FSA, CFA
