Cleaver Brooks Sales and Service is looking for a Regional Sales Manager (Texas Region) to join our team in Houston, TX reporting to the VP Sales. The Regional Sales Manager’s ultimate goal is to drive revenue growth with acceptable margins across all Cleaver Brooks Sales and Service product lines in the region. This will be accomplished by managing, developing, mentoring and empowering the sales and admin team to meet the region’s sales goals. The Regional Sales Manager will also be responsible for developing strong, “one level up” relationships with strategic accounts in the designated region.
Job Location: Dallas, TX or Houston, TX
Essential functions:
- Day to day management of the region’s sales professionals and admins. Monitoring of performance and suggestions for tools, education and training to continuously develop the skill sets of the region’s sales team.
- Regional budget development and performance tracking. Management of sales team to targets.
- Meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for the region
- Identify short, intermediate and long term market trends. Develop the market across the 5 Texas sites to meet or exceed CBSS strategic initiatives in all product lines.
- Develop regional admin(s) to be an effective support system for sales.
- Ensuring all CRM tools are being effectively utilized by the sales team. Establishing metrics to focus the sales team on customer facing activities.
- Utilizing internal resources, assist in the development of larger scale quotations (as appropriate) with the sales team.
- Participate in periodic meetings with the leadership team reporting on the performance of the region, development of action plans for both people and revenue, and market intelligence
- Support CBSS’s marketing efforts by attending trade shows, customer and vendor events, etc. as appropriate.
- Ability to handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and to effectively interface with others inside and outside the Company is required. Work directly with representatives and staff to resolve internal and external problems quickly.
- Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results.
- Position requires regular exercise of problem solving and policy or procedure interpretation skills.
- Moderate local travel, generally by vehicle

Preferred Skills and Attributes:
- Experience managing a 10+ person geographically distributed sales team - within the boiler industry a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- The ability to apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results.
- Computer competency including SFDC, Outlook, Word, Excel required. Tools like Power BI, etc. a plus.
Basic Requirements:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a technical discipline is required
Experience:
- +10 years with experience managing a diverse technical sales team. Equipment and service sales experience in a similar industrial/technical position is required.
Physical Skill and Effort: Work requires computer proficiency, moderate typing speed and a high data input accuracy level. Work involves fairly light and simple types of physical exertion.
Working Conditions and Hazards: Normal office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions or materials
