This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging cases and be at the forefront of litigating emerging legal issues, with talented colleagues throughout the country, and provide sound counsel to our clients.</p> <p><em><strong>This is a hybrid position offering great flexibility.&nbsp;</strong></em></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including case strategy development, discovery, motion practice, mediation, trial preparation, and trial.</li> <li>Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.</li> <li>Prepare formal and informal reports and communicate with clients/insurers.</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment.</li> <li>Participate in court hearings, depositions, and mediations, where the opportunities arise.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>JD from an ABA accredited law school</li> <li>Admitted to practice in the state of North Carolina</li> <li>2+ years of defense litigation experience</li> <li>Experience with litigation involving general liability, premises, products, transportation, employment, or insurance preferred.</li> <li>Experience drafting discovery and pretrial moti
