VIM Process Engineer

Responsibilities 
Include but are not limited to the following: 

1. Designs, develops and validates machine vision imaging techniques and programming for 
inspections to meet specified customer requirements and reduce false rejects. 
2. Assists in response to VIM maintenance and QC issues involving machine vision in order to 
increase inspection stability and decrease false rejections. 
3. Designs and develops real time monitoring and alert systems for VIM data. 
4. Collects historical VIM data for analysis and review using charting and statistical methodologies 
to assist in VIM continuous improvement projects. 
5. Reports to Management on the productivity, scrap, efficiency and inspection effectiveness in a 
timely manner. 
6. Responsible for development or assistance in development of all documented procedures, 
instructions and forms required of the VIM and Quarantine Areas. 
7. Designs, develops and gives support for QC data collection systems and data retrieval/analysis 
methods. 
8. Measure, report, and reduce false rejects from Inspection systems. 
 Qualifications/Education/Special Skills 

1. Minimum degree level of BS in Engineering. 
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine vision and data collection systems. 
3. Minimum of 2 years of management experience. 
4. Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office.
