You have strong expertise in building & supporting modern data platform, service integrations, APIs, and working with cross-functional teams, including digital, retail, analytics, and Product teams.
You’re also resourceful and collaborative with stakeholders and partner with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business needs. A sense of humor is a plus!

A Day in the Life:

The typical day is… atypical. Your Key Responsibilities may include.

1. Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Data Engineers and Customer Service Engineers.
• Provide technical and strategic direction to the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Drive hiring, performance management, and career growth initiatives within the team.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and delivery excellence.

2. Data Engineering & Modernization

• Architect, design, and implement modern data pipelines using BigQuery, SQL Servers, and GCP services.
• Lead data modernization initiatives, migrating legacy systems to scalable, cloud-based architectures.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of data infrastructure.

3. Data Governance & Compliance

• Develop and enforce data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Implement data cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management best practices.
• Work with compliance teams to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Service Integrations, API Development & Automation

• Design and build APIs and microservices for seamless integration across platforms and third-party services.
• Enable customer data integrations to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Ensure API scalability, security, and best practices in service integrations.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated data pipeline deployment and management.
• Drive automation using Python and other scripting languages to optimize data workflows.

To Land This Role:

• 10+ years of overall experience in software/data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in Big Query, SQL Servers, GA4, and GCP services.
• Proven experience in building and implementing Data Governance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in data pipeline architectures, ETL processes, and cloud-based data processing.
