This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office.

Job Description:

   

  • Essential Job Functions and Duties:

    • Understanding of GPU software packages, installation, and support.
    • Image and upgrade servers with Linux OS, update firmware and configure switches to work within our labs.
    • Set up multiple root partitions and install a variety of OS versions on the partitions.
    • Update DNS entries and configure systems to run on the HPE network per our network security protocols at HPE.
    • Familiar with VMware vSphere and setting up and maintaining virtual servers.
    • Familiar with High-Performance Cluster Manager (HPCM) software and able to install and maintain a cluster using that software. 
    • Familiar with storage arrays; and installing enclosures and drives.  Also able to replace failed drives and rebuild new ones.
    • Familiar with Lustre File systems and supporting software installs and upgrades. 
    • Familiar with Work Load Managers; SLURM and PBS.
    • Some knowledge of shell & Perl scripting, Ansible, and Container software.

    • Quality. Is attentive to detail and accuracy, is dedicated to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds the root cause of quality problems, and owns/acts on quality problems.
    • Technical Skills. Strong grasp of Linux operation systems and has general knowledge of networks.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 6 years experience.
