The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.
Job Summary:
Support day-to-day derivative operations, ensuring all relevant processing and maintenance functions are completed accurately, within prescribed timeframes, and in accordance with established departmental procedures.
Responsibilities:
Ensure new derivative transactions and their lifecycle events, such as terminations, amendments, and assignments are captured properly in the respective trade booking systems.
Ensure settlements are confirmed with counterparts and processed accurately by value date.
Investigate trade/settlement breaks and liaise with internal business partners, clients, or clearing brokers to rectify them.
Review various data reconciliations, research mismatches, and resolve them in a timely manner.
Prepare monthly reports and general ledger account certifications.
Acquire and sustain solid knowledge of all systems and applications that are utilized, including their limitations, and required workarounds.
Serve as a resource and handle derivative related queries and audit requests.
Understand the roles and responsibilities of different units within the bank and effectively interface with those units as required.
Provide training and guidance to team members.
Participate in projects or ad hoc initiatives.
Create or update procedures.
Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance.
2-4 years of derivative operations experience covering trade capture, settlements, investigation and resolution of breaks, and client servicing.
Strong knowledge of derivative products, including FX Options, Credit Derivatives, Listed Futures & Options, and Interest Rate Derivatives.
Highly attentive to detail.
Self-motivated and can work independently or as part of a team.
Able to effectively time manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Able to quickly adapt to change and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $75K- $90k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
