This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 

 

Role Overview:

 

We are looking for an experienced Application Administrator who will proactively manage the lifecycle of various enterprise applications. This role involves detailed application configuration, deployment, and performance optimization, with a strong focus on aligning application management activities with organizational strategies.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Lead the full lifecycle of assigned applications from installation through upgrades, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Perform detailed software configuration, functional updates, deployment of patches, and ensure minimal disruption through rigorous testing.
  • Proactively monitor application performance metrics to identify opportunities for system optimization, scalability, and reliability improvements.
  • Diagnose and efficiently resolve complex application issues, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including infrastructure, architecture, security, and development to ensure seamless application integration.
  • Actively participate in major incident management, providing technical expertise and conducting post-incident reviews to recommend improvements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of application configurations, best practices, troubleshooting methods, and resolution steps.
  • Communicate regularly with business stakeholders to translate their needs into effective technical solutions, ensuring strategic alignment and business continuity.
  • Identify risks, performance bottlenecks, or recurring issues, recommending proactive technical and process improvements to the Application Administration Manager.
  • Contribute meaningful performance data to departmental reporting, highlighting application health, uptime, and areas for continual service improvement.
  • Engage in initiatives to enhance overall service delivery through automation, optimization of processes, and adoption of innovative monitoring tools.
  • Provide mentorship and cross-training within the Application Administration team to ensure operational resilience and continuous knowledge transfer.

 

What you'll bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience managing enterprise-level applications.
  • Strong technical skills in application configuration, database queries (SQL), scripting, and integration methodologies.
  • Familiarity with IT application management principles, including incident management, change control, and lifecycle management processes.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively across IT and business units.
  • Experience in regulated environments or industries preferred.

 

Bonus points for these: 

 

  • Demonstrated experience in application automation and performance optimization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with workflow management systems or related tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Experience participating in agile project processes or methodologies.
  • Experience in administering HCL Campaign and Interact applications preferred but not required.
