Job Description

Business Group Overview

Digital Issuing Solutions is a high growth, 100M+ business unit within Visa’s Value-Added Services (VAS) organization. Our group is responsible for building & commercializing Digital products that issuers can white-label and embed in their mobile applications to drive differentiated consumer experiences.

The Global Head of Business Planning and Operations for Digital Solutions will be responsible for building, implementing, and managing all our strategic planning, business rhythms, portfolio operations, billing strategies, and financial models. This individual will work closely with senior leaders across Global and Regional teams in product, sales, implementations, tech, finance, and more.

This is a critical position reporting to the Global Head of Digital Issuing Solutions. This role requires strong strategic thinking, operational experience, stakeholder management, structured problem solving, project management, and communication. This individual will lead large cross-functional engagements, handle multiple projects at the same time, manage a team, and present to senior audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all of Digital’s business rhythms (e.g.: QBRs, OKRs, and portfolio planning).
  • Develop scalable engagement models with other cross-functional leaders (e.g.: Tech, Sales, Regional teams), act as the primary point of contact for partner teams.
  • Hire, manage, and mentor a team of other Business Planning & Operations and Strategy FTEs.
  • Support ongoing performance monitoring and business management of P&L.
  • As needed, lead strategic projects (e.g.: client migration strategies, partnerships, and GTM planning) with senior leaders within the VAS organization.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

The location for this position will be: San Francisco Bay Area - this role will not be eligible for remote or other locations outside of San Franciso/Bay Area.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
  • You have prior experience in strategy/ business operations or consulting 


Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience (Strategy, Business Operations or Management Consulting) with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • Excellent strong structured problem solving & communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience with influencing without authority in a large cross-functional team environment.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable in ambiguous environments.
  • Collaborative spirit and a knack for understanding and communicating stakeholder needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on articulating business minutiae and nuances in simple easy-to-understand ways.
  • Previous client-servicing and people management experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in financial services and/or payments preferred.
  • Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) acumen.
  • Curious and inquisitive, with a strong desire to get beyond the 'what' and into the 'why'.
  • Proactive and effective communicator, experienced in presenting information to all levels.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
