About the role

SiloSmashers is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our federal law enforcement client with analyzing their current financial processing systems and implementing new efficient systems.

The Senior Analyst will develop and implement financial management plans, procedures, and processes to facilitate the effective, efficient, and timely application of new and existing financial resources to support financial planning, budgeting and program and process analysis for our DOJ customer. The Analyst will be primarily focused on supporting efforts to improve customer business finance and budget processes, providing process standardization and leading the improvement of financial process efficiencies across our client's organization. The analyst will work on a team to benchmark with other agencies, coordinate cross-division collaborative efforts on large-scale process change, and data analysis development, and testing of supporting innovative efforts.

The Senior Analyst will have working and extensive knowledge, experience, and supporting skills in financial system analysis and the development of solutions, recommendations, and measurable outcomes across multiple complex tasks and/or organizations.


Work Description:

· Evaluate options in the context of project objectives and contribute to implementing strategic direction.

· You will recommend the adoption or implementation of, and implement new and revised financial management concepts, procedures, and strategies in support of the organization's programs.

· Work plan reporting and reconciliation, processing financial transactions and tracking time and expenses.

· Manage and coordinate the key financial measurements (plans vs. actuals, deobligations), and also advise on cost and time reducing techniques

· Develop data validation procedures.

· Developing financial models and preparing projections

· Conduct research for the development of top-level budget summaries during each budget cycle outlining major changes and tracking current and future capabilities

· Present findings and recommendations to leadership

· Perform various tasks that require practical and technical knowledge in specialty areas.

· Provide support to various project teams and leadership as a key facilitator to achieve objectives of complex efforts.

· Customer outreach for reconciliation and issue mitigation

· Establish a method for customers to communicate, vet and document the results of working group decisions into problem reports and or change requests, as necessary.


Additional Duties may include:

· Produce reports on a recurring basis summarizing projects and efforts

· Collaborating with management and team to understand task and project requirements

· Conducting research as needed to stay knowledgeable of industry trends and relevant news


The Senior Analyst shall have the following qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college Educational requirements may be waived if the candidate has ten (10) or more years of experience.

· Eight (8) or more years of gathering, scrutinizing, and assessing information.

· Advanced in MS Excel

· Good interpersonal skills, detail oriented, self-motivated and organized

· Well-grounded in portfolio management, financial modelling, and statistical concepts

· Good research, quantitative, and analytical skills


Nice to have qualifications:

· Proactive approach to independent and group projects, tasks varying in size, learning and knowledge sharing

· Excellent verbal and written communication

· Experience and Proficient in MS Word, Teams, PowerPoint and SharePoint
