That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?
In short, as the Assistant Director of Total Rewards you will be responsible for the development, implementation, communication and maintenance of DriveTime’s total rewards programs, including benefits, leave and wellness.
In long, the Assistant Director of Total Rewards is responsible for:
- Providing the strategic direction for benefit functions to ensure programs support DriveTime Family Brands as an industry leader.
- Creating the architecture for a strategic total rewards program that will enable the attraction, development and retention of talent.
- Managing the integration of the total rewards solutions with the employee experience, succession planning and performance management processes, tools and training.
- Conducting market surveys to identify trends and enhancements to the total rewards strategy.
- Providing direction and guidance on legislations, trends, marketplace changes and advances to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
- Developing a comprehensive, effective communications strategy to drive behavior and utilization within the benefit programs.
- Designing documents and communication of all health, wellness and retirement plans and negotiates and administers all related contracts. Providing benefit financial and costing data to management.
- Ensuring that all benefits programs meet federal, state and local compliance requirements, including FLSA, ERISA and all leave programs including ADA.

The Specifics.
- BA/BS degree and five (5) years compensation and benefits operations experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in building, leading and managing a successful total rewards strategy to include: executive compensation, pay-for-performance, short term incentive planning, long-term incentive programs and retirement planning.
Nice to Haves.
- A CEBS and/or a CCP certification.
