About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer in Technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT). This candidate will aid in the development of a Counterparty Credit Risk application. Candidate would help provide expertise and guidance on the design of the application. Candidate would help drive any architectural changes and help to improve performance and maintainability of the application. Candidate should have solid knowledge of financial products, specifically over-the-counter derivatives. They should also be able to contribute to more advanced projects, including Generative AI.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
- Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
- Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
- Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
- Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Mentor less experienced software engineers
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
- 5+ years of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) experience
- 3+ years of experience in application & data architecture and solution design
- 3+ years of SQL experience
- 3+ years of experience in the financial industry (knowledge of over-the-counter derivative products)
- 3+ years of Java experience
- 1+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular, Node)
Desired Qualifications:
- Working Agile experience
- Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation: impact analysis, detailed designs and unit
- Experience leading projects that require integration of multiple technology systems to deliver new online functionality and user experience
- 2+ years GenAI experience
- 3+ years High Performance Computing (grid computing)
- Knowledge of other programming languages (C++, C#, Python, etc.)
