As a Junior Backend Software Engineer, you'll work closely with the Data Team, focusing on storing, contextualizing, and providing information to internal and external stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the entire development life cycle, from scoping and design to implementation, and actively participate in an Agile/SCRUM environment.

Currently, our focus is on developing cloud-based microservices for data platforms, involving large-scale tracking and metadata. You'll work with various technologies, including message brokers, caches, and communication protocols, contributing to the delivery of data that meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to the development of high-quality backend code aligned with specifications.

2. Engage in the entire development life cycle, from scoping and design to implementation.

3. Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.

4. Collaborate with team members and actively participate in mentorship opportunities.

5. Assist in code releases, encompassing testing and production.

6. Work closely with Product and Project Managers to contribute to effective solutions.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

Essential:

1. Basic proficiency in Java.

2. Interest in high-performance and real-time application development.

3. Eagerness to learn about building scalable systems.

4. Exposure to web service development (RESTful APIs).

5. Familiarity with basic testing concepts (JUnit).

6. Awareness of version control systems like Git.

7. Enthusiasm for working in an Agile/SCRUM environment.

Nice to have:

1. Exposure or willingness to learn Spring Boot & Framework.

2. Basic understanding or interest in Docker.

3. Awareness of cloud services (e.g., AWS).

4. Interest in microservice architecture.

5. Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts.

6. Curiosity about relational databases and SQL.

7. Interest in software development best practices.
