MGO is seeking an Experienced or Senior Associate to join our growing Consulting team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex engagements involving financial accounting and reporting, transaction-related due diligence, fraud investigations, litigation support, forensic accounting, and technical accounting matters.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a solid foundation in accounting principles, and experience supporting high-impact advisory engagements. This position offers exposure to a diverse range of clients and projects, providing meaningful opportunities for professional growth and development.
Position Overview
As an Experienced or Senior Associate, you will play a hands-on role in the execution of client engagements, development of financial analyses, and delivery of actionable insights. You will help clients navigate acquisitions, disputes, investigations, regulatory matters, and financial reporting challenges while collaborating closely with Managers and Partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform financial accounting and reporting engagements.
- Conduct financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions, including quality of earnings, working capital, and cash flow analyses.
- Support fraud and internal investigations through transaction testing, data analysis, fund tracing, and identification of irregularities.
- Provide litigation support, including damages calculations, expert report preparation, discovery assistance, and exhibit development.
- Perform forensic accounting and technical accounting analyses in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Analyze general ledger activity, journal entries, bank records, and transactional data to identify trends, risks, and anomalies.
- Prepare clear, accurate workpapers, memoranda, and client-ready deliverables.
- Collaborate effectively with Managers, Partners, and clients throughout engagement execution.
- Contribute to a high-performing team environment while maintaining a commitment to quality and client service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA required, or CPA-eligible and actively pursuing certification.
- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Financial due diligence
- Forensic accounting
- Litigation support
- Fraud investigations
- Technical accounting
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced advisory environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $78,000 - $120,000, plus bonus opportunities and a competitive benefits package.
Title and compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
