Forklift Operator and Warehouse Associate
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Forklift Operator and Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe handling, storage, and distribution of medical supplies within our distribution center. This position requires a combination of forklift operation and adherence to safety protocols to maintain optimal inventory levels and order accuracy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and position products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts and other equipment.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in periodic inventory audits.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of warehouse space to optimize storage and accessibility.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues or discrepancies.
- Handle medical supplies with care, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks and duties as needed.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and working in a warehouse environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling and processing orders.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to use the following tools and equipment.
- Forklift and pallet jack.
- Hand tools (e.g., box cutters, tape dispensers).
- Computer or handheld device for inventory management.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses.
- Scales and barcode scanners.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements listed in this section include, but are not limited, to the motor/physical abilities and skills required to successfully undertake the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.
While undertaking the essential duties and responsibilities of the position, the employee must repeatedly drive, operate equipment, reach, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., listen, speak, read, type, and move throughout the facility. They must be capable of using a keyboard and mouse/mouse pad for computer purposes.
