The Opportunity: 

Booz Allen's Digital Battlespace Team is seeking an experienced full-stack developer to build innovative new applications and products in the defense market. As a full-stack developer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. We’re looking for an experienced developer like you with the skills needed to develop software and systems from vision to production-ready. 

This role is more than just coding. As a senior full-stack developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You'll work with warfighters across command and control (C2), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), and Special Missions to build tools and systems that support DoD mission goals.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, including delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions  

  • Experience with developing in modern front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript, and front-end frameworks or libraries, including React.js or Angular

  • Experience with back-end development using server-side languages and frameworks, including Node.js, Python, Django, Flask, Java, or Spring Boot

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservice architectures

  • Experience working with database management systems, including SQL or NoSQL, such as database design, optimization, and querying using databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB

  • Experience working with version control systems, including Git, such as branching, merging, and resolving conflicts

  • Experience with code review processes and collaboration tools, including GitHub or GitLab

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience working with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Experience with cloud-native tools, including AWS Lambda or Azure Functions

  • Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes

  • Experience with software testing principles and techniques, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing

  • Experience working in Agile development environments, including Scrum

  • Experience with participating in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, backlog grooming, and retrospectives

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including the use of technologies, such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Jenkins

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent collaboration skills

Clearance:
