CSCI Consulting is on the hunt for a detail-oriented and skilled Mainframe Production Batch Scheduler to support a large, high-impact federal payroll system. Your efforts will directly contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of payroll processing for federal employees across the country.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute batch schedules for a large-scale federal payroll system, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery
• Collaborate with clients to understand and meet their scheduling needs, acting as the go-to expert for batch scheduling requirements
• Maintain strong organizational and time-management skills to handle complex scheduling demands and priorities
• Foster positive relationships with customers and vendors to ensure effective communication and workflow
• Adhere to data standards and policies to ensure compliance and maintain the integrity of the system
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills in both written and oral formats, always maintaining a professional presence

Minimum Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in mainframe batch scheduling
• Strong expertise in creating and executing batch schedules within a mainframe environment
• Must have or have the ability to gain a Federal Public Trust clearance
• Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
• Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional presence

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with scheduling tools like CA-7, Control-M, or Zeke
• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) systems or experience working for a Federal Agency
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
• Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
• Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
• Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
• Past experience working with a federal agency / state or local government agency
• Department of Defense experience is a plus!
