Job Summary

Location: The candidate may be able to work from any of our Canteen northeast branch locations.

 

Working as a Divisional Ops Controller you will be responsible for assisting with monthly fiscal close, forecast, and budgets, including preparation of financial statements for assigned Regions or Subsidiaries. The successful candidate will be highly motivated professional with proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with various team members and levels of management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and maintain monthly P&L and balance sheet activity
• Review of general ledger and balance sheet and resolve reconciliation issues
• Assist with review and reconciliation of accounts receivable, credit card and bank transactions
• Assist in preparation of Flash, Forecast, and Budgets
• Assist in Inventory reviews and analysis
• Handle special projects as needed, including support of branch operations, and regional and division initiatives
• Manage 5-7 direct reports in various areas of Region and Division responsibility
• Support RVP in management of branch operations

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional experience
• A minimum of seven years of corporate accounting experience in a retail industry
• A minimum of three years of experience in OCS/Pantry line of business; Vending and Market experience a plus
• Experience in accounts receivable, credit card, and cash environment
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of Excel and Access required
• Working experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP software a plus
• Travel 20-25%
