Manager, Clinical Research - Medicine

Summary

The Department of Medicine is seeking an enthusiastic manager to lead the clinical research administration unit. This person is responsible for daily operations of the unit, implementing standards operating procedures and ensures institutional and federal compliance.   This person will oversee other members of the clinical trial administration unit to ensure a successful trial is established.  

Job Duties

• Supervise clinical research and administrative staff: provides training and guidance on regulations and best practice and how to initiate and manage a clinical study. 
• Participate in strategic planning meetings with faculty and administrative leader.
• Implements standard operating procedures (SOPs) for any new clinical studies initiated through the department unit.
• Accountable for financial aspects of the clinical trials. 
• Schedule, coordinates, and participate in the internal feasibility meetings. 
• May prepare research presentation and marketing materials.
• Seek potential new trials from clinical trials.gov and other resources. 
   

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Four years of relevant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Good communication/inter-person skills, accountable, organized, self-motivated, team player, works well under pressure, multitasking.
