Job Description:

Responsible for providing counsel and support to HR generalists, business partners, and fellow Compensation team members on Compensation-related matters, policies, practices, and/or procedures. Collaborates directly with the business to advise and execute on Compensation-related initiatives that can facilitate the achievement of each unit's immediate and long-term objectives. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management. 

Responsibilities 

  • Defines process improvement and best practice opportunities to current business/work processes. Documents new procedures and business process workflow as relates to Compensation. 

  • Participates in third-party Compensation surveys and provide continual research with peer companies and similar external markets. 

  • Participates in the planning and administration of formal merit increase, bonus, and long-term incentive processes. 

  • Provides analytics, data, and research support to Compensation Consultants and internal clients. Works with internal partners to propose or implement compensation solutions designed to support business objectives. Assists in the design of complex compensation reports in accordance with the requirements/data elements that streamline and support compensation programs. 

  • Analyzes job profiles and specifications, using strong job evaluation and leveling techniques to properly align jobs and establishes compensation parameters equitable within the organization and competitive to the market. Ensures all reviewed jobs have the proper exemption status or otherwise meet compliance and regulatory standards to include strong documentation. 

  • Manages compensation projects, including writing of proposals/recommendations, implementation and maintenance of cost effective and legally compliant compensation programs and practices.  

  • Adheres to and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, internal requirements, and HR policies. 

Minimum Qualifications 

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field 

  • 2+ years of experience in broad-based Compensation experience with a strong understanding of job evaluation techniques 

  • In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of equivalent combination of education and experience 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in broad-based Compensation experience with a strong understanding of job evaluation techniques

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
