Banner Children’s Blood and Cancer Center/ Outpatient Treatment Center offers excellent care to children and adolescents with hematology and oncologic diagnosis. We provide a comprehensive team of expert board-certified physicians, advanced specialty certified practice nurses, social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, and other health care professionals who work as a multidisciplinary team to provide family centered care. As a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Outpatient Treatment Center, you will have the opportunity to care for pediatric patients spanning from infant to young adult with a diverse range of diagnosis including but not limited to childhood cancer and blood disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, immune and rheumatology disorders. As a nurse in our department, you will administer infusions such as blood, immune therapies and chemotherapy, you will also provide pre, intra and post anesthesia care for patients receiving same day procedures. APHON chemotherapy certification as well as PALS and sedation/anesthesia knowledge is highly preferred. This position requires flexible start times to meets the needs of the patient. the schedule is typically business hours Monday - Friday with some weekends and call every 6-8 weeks on Saturdays; details will be discussed during the interview. This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
