ClickUp is looking for a driven senior software engineer to join our Core Services team. As a Senior Software Engineer, Core Services at ClickUp, you will help to design and deliver scalable distributed shared services used by other engineering teams. If you're an accountable, pragmatic, and invested go-getter that thrives when faced with new challenges and enjoys lots of cross-team collaboration...this role is meant for you!   The Role:

• Build upon and integrate customer feedback both internal and external into our API tooling and services.
• Create new architectural foundations and mission critical distributed systems while collaborating with other teams.
• Work within an agile scrum-based engineering team reporting to the Senior Manager of Core Services.
• Uphold the highest levels of customer satisfaction in all things you do.
• Advocate, create, and maintain API governance across engineering through collaboration, automation and outreach.
• Own integration within our API Gateway layer and API lifecycles from design to production.
• Identify improvements to the design and implementation of various new and existing critical shared services.
• Help to grow our infrastructure engineering organization's shared services relied upon by other engineering teams to accelerate product development.

  Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of API standards, design approaches, and integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of CAP Theorum and distributed systems design patterns.
• Proficient with TypeScript.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Strong understanding of developer experience in everything you build.

  Desirable:

• Pragmatic approach to software design, development & delivery.
• Experience working with Kafka and related event based patterns.
• Experience working with and designing Backend for Frontend (BFF) patterns

Please note that the actual compensation for this position may vary and is dependent on factors such as geographic location,  interview performance, years of experience, education level, and specific skills. We encourage candidates to discuss compensation expectations during the interview process to ensure alignment with their qualifications and our company’s compensation philosophy. Salary Range: $160,000 - $205,000   This position is eligible for the following benefits and perks:
