(Montana Site) Daily's Premium Meats IT Systems Technician

SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting the information systems and assist with production systems within the Missoula plant.  Work will be performed in the Missoula Plant, we do assist our other locations in Salt Lake City, UT, Missoula, MT, St. Joseph, MO and the Plaza location in Kansas City, MO. Electrical projects may include installation of new electronic and electrical systems, troubleshooting and repair of complex electrical and informational systems. Maintain industry specific equipment including production system devices, ADP Timeclocks, automated equipment, and CMMS system. This position will report to the Information Systems Manager. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, and are not limited to the following: (other duties may be assigned)

• Design, manage, and implement break/fixes for any issues that arise within laptop/desktop computers or IP production equipment

• Assist with application and desktop support, monitoring and maintaining all Company’s computer systems
• Must be able to assist with design and implementation of production floor projects.  This can require a fair amount of time on the production floor where we produce bacon.  Forklifts, conveyors, slicers, smokehouses, and other industrial machines are present
• Assist Information Services team with local and remote Windows support responsibilities.   Manage Engine’s Desktop Central experience would be a plus.
• Implement and follow best practices for networking department
• Serve as a Help Desk resource for resolving Windows, CAT2 System, or other system issues, both during and after regular working hours
• Create, maintain, and discover ways to automate any/all IT department processes leading to site consistency.
• Maintain any plant specific auxiliary servers, processes, etc. for specific departments. 
• Create and maintain an updated WIM image complying with Seaboard Corp policies and needs of the Daily’s organization.  Distribute and support WIM image for any IT personnel at the various sites.
• Create batching, scripting, and other automated processes as desired by IT (Seaboard or Daily’s) and plant management to efficiently execute needed tasks.
• Be a liaison between IT and Maintenance dept for various projects and projects where there is overlap/handoff between IT/Maintenance.
• Special project work as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Certifications are desired like A+, Network +, Security+ or equivalent OTJ is acceptable. BS in computer science or IT field is a bonus

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:  Must be able to effectively communicate in English including reading, writing, and speaking.  Bilingual in Spanish is desired

 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.   Must be able to solve problems quickly and with good judgment
