About the role

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

 

  • Inspect buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation
  • Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests
  • Use baits and set traps to remove or kill pests
  • Apply pesticides in and around buildings and other structures
  • Design and carry out contract pest management plan
  • Create barriers to prevent pests from entering a building
  • Record keeping, entry of records to be entered in to NOPRS

 

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

 

  • Five (5) years’ experience on a government contract
  • Five (5) years’ experience as a commercial pest controller

 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

 

  • Basic knowledge of pest control and government regulations

  • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

 

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
