Job Overview
The CRM Security and Deployment Coordinator is in charge of all profile and permission set configuration for Salesforce in support of both the Advancement and University-wide CRM system. This position is the primary system administrator for the university’s CRM system as well as the integrated tools and oversees the installation and configuration management/testing of all system updates, upgrades, integrated tools, and other software integrated with the CRM.
Position responsibilities include managing the university’s Salesforce infrastructure, developing testing and implementing patches and upgrades, answering level II and level III support requests. This position regularly meets with our Salesforce Success team to make sure the health of the enterprise Salesforce instance is meeting established thresholds.
The incumbent must maintain knowledge of current industry trends, participating in the evaluation of other CRM tools, or third party applications which might be used to supplement Salesforce. Strong relationships are required with faculty, students, academic technologists, and University Information Services staff to ensure the effective use of CRM tools to enhance collaboration.
As a member of the IT Services he/she may also be tasked with other job responsibilities and projects as needed.
Work Interactions
The CRM Security and Deployment Coordinator reports directly to the Salesforce Director.
S/he interacts with the UIS and the Georgetown community at all levels. A key focus area of this position is collaboration across the UIS Department, schools, departments and stakeholders (staff, students, faculty and alumni).
Requirements and Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience with Salesforce development and release management, including change sets and repository-based deployments
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience with Salesforce test class development; familiarity with continuous integration strategies is ideal
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Understanding of higher education needs and environment
Strong project/personnel management and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in a team and or leading in a team environment
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certification:
Professional development experience with APEX
Experience with release management products such as Git
Database management, ability to learn new software, research and writing skills, comprehension of project management methodology
Familiarity with object-oriented programming
Ability to manage application development projects where stakeholders represent functional offices, as well as technology deployment projects where stakeholders are internal IT staff
Ability to work collaboratively within the UIS and across the University
Solid ability to gather, organize and analyze data in the completion of assignments
Must possess a commitment to service and quality, and the ability to integrate these concepts into the School culture
